La Casa Latina started with a simple idea: Washtenaw County needed a place where Latin families could find the products, flavors and services that make a house feel like home. What began as a small grocery counter in Ypsilanti has grown into a full market, with fresh meat and seafood, specialty produce, an authentic goods section, health and wellness products, and international mobile recharge, all under one roof.
We’re a family owned business, and it shows in how we run the store. We know a lot of our customers by name. We restock based on what people actually ask for, not a corporate list. And we built this market the way we’d want a Latin store to feel if we were shopping in it ourselves: familiar, welcoming and stocked with what our community needs, whether that community traces back to Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, or anywhere else across Latin America.
Every product on our shelves is chosen because it's real, not because it's easy to stock.
We grow based on what Ypsilanti and Washtenaw County families ask us for, not a corporate plan.
From our butcher counter to our produce section, freshness and care come first.
